The person submitting the request<\/h2><\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n<ul class=\"u-list-indent\">\n<li>Is the person concerned by the possible processing of data (the Applicant); or<\/li>\n<li>The Applicant\u2019s duly authorized representative (e.g. a lawyer, a family member, etc.); or<\/li>\n<li>in case the Applicant is an entity, the individual who has standing or authority to represent the entity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-default su-spoiler-icon-plus h-toaccordion includetocloseall su-spoiler-closed\" data-anchor=\"section-2\" data-scroll-offset=\"50\" data-anchor-in-url=\"yes\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span><h2>2. Identification of the Applicant or his\/her representative<\/h2><\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n<ul class=\"u-list-indent\">\n<li>A copy of the Applicant\u2019s identity document. This official document must bear all the necessary elements to identify the person (name, family name, date of birth and photograph, at a minimum) and not be redacted (no erasures, illegible characters, etc.);<\/li>\n<li>Unless the Application form is used, the copy of a power of attorney signed by the Applicant, if the request is submitted by the Applicant\u2019s <strong>representative<\/strong>. The Power of attorney should authorize the representative to access any information about that person recorded in INTERPOL\u2019s files.<\/li>\n<li>in case the Applicant is an entity, an official document bearing its full name, date of incorporation or registration, registration number (if any), and official address. A document proving the individual\u2019s standing or authority to represent the entity shall also be provided.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>NB: in case of submission of a request on behalf of a minor<\/em>, <em>the Applicant shall provide the copy of a document stating the relationship with the minor<\/em>, <em>such as a birth certificate<\/em>. <em>The Commission will also require the copy of an identity document of the minor<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-default su-spoiler-icon-plus h-toaccordion includetocloseall su-spoiler-closed\" data-anchor=\"section-3\" data-scroll-offset=\"50\" data-anchor-in-url=\"yes\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span><h2>3. Purpose of the request<\/h2><\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n<p>\u2192 The purpose of the request can be explained either on the Application Form or in a letter. In either case, the document must:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"u-list-indent\">\n<li>Be signed by the Applicant or by his\/her duly authorized representative;<\/li>\n<li>Be written in one of the Organization\u2019s <strong>four working languages<\/strong> (Arabic, English, French or Spanish);<\/li>\n<li>Indicate its purpose (i.e., simple request for access to INTERPOL\u2019s files, or a request for correction or deletion of data);<\/li>\n<li>Be sent by post or by e-mail to the Commission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2192 <u>For a request for access<\/u>, the Applicant should also provide the copy of any document, which leads him\/her to believe there are data concerning him\/her processed through INTERPOL\u2019s channels.<\/p>\n<p>\u2192 <u>For a request for correction and\/or deletion of data<\/u>, the Applicant should also provide:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"u-list-indent\">\n<li>A precise but short summary of facts, and an explanation of the violation(s) of applicable rules, not exceeding 10 pages;<\/li>\n<li>Any relevant information and documentary evidence in support of the complaint (in particular, court decisions, decisions of other authorities, or arrest warrants);<\/li>\n<li>Any information concerning the applicant that might be relevant when studying the case, such as his\/her previous and current functions, pending legal actions, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Please note that the Commission is only required to take into consideration documents<\/em>, <em>which have been translated into one of INTERPOL\u2019s working languages (Arabic<\/em>, <em>English<\/em>, <em>French<\/em>, <em>Spanish) and certified<\/em>, <em>if necessary<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Important: this page preserves the pre-portal admissibility text.
